Introduction
The purpose of this survey is to identify current practices and barriers to screening for food insecurity and connecting patients to food resources. Your responses will inform the development of future childhood food security initiatives and education for practicing pediatricians, residents, and medical students.
Through a small project supported by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Illinois Chapter is collaborating with 35 organizations statewide with the goal of increasing pediatrician food insecurity screening, implementation, referral mechanisms, and resource delivery to families.
