Can you help your Peers?

How will this help?

The Scope 3 Peer Group collects hundreds of specific Challenges from many Peers globally every week and month.

The knowledge and insight required to tackle them is everywhere in the Peer Group and beyond.

We just need to more easily find and share it.

If you can provide any insight, opinion and ideally practical advice/links/direction what-so-ever - please respond and choose whether you'd like the Peer to see your details.

You do not need to answer all of the 3 questions!

We will forward the 3 individual Peers your insight in the next few weeks!

If you have a Challenge you'd like to pose next month - get in touch with oliver@scope3peergroup.com.
1.What's your name, job title, organisation & email?

(You can keep the response anonymous if you wish. Any identifiable feedback will only be shared directly with the Peer. Peers may choose to respond to you directly)
2.From a Peer at a large, multinational food business who emailed the S3PG:

We’re trying to understand how companies are moving supplier engagement from a sustainability-led effort into something that is more fully embedded within procurement decision-making.

Specifically, where suppliers are not making sufficient progress, what commercial levers are buyers willing to use in practice?

For example:
  • Shifting or reducing business
  • Adding stronger contract terms or expectations
  • Restricting participation in new business growth
  • Using performance in sourcing, awards, or relationship management decisions
We’d love to hear how Peers are approaching this in a way that is both credible internally and actionable with suppliers:
  • How are you incorporating supplier climate / decarbonization expectations into procurement processes?
  • What consequences or incentives are you truly prepared to use?
  • Where have you found the most leverage, and what trade-offs have come with it?
  • How are you balancing ambition with commercial realities like cost, supply continuity, and supplier maturity?
3.From a Peer at one of the UK's largest banking and financial services groups who joined our recent PCF Clinic

How to replace spend with PCF data?

How do we identify the spend in our spend-based calcs to replace with PCFs?
4.From a Peer at a major online consumer platform who will be at the Chicago Scope 3 Strategy Days

How are companies using a data maturity curve / strategy to drive supplier engagement and conversations?
