Threadbare Cider Survey

We continue to explore many cider styles as we think through which styles to introduce in November.

Please read through the ciders below and then answer the 3 quick questions that follow. Thank you!!

Session Cider
An easy drinking, 4% ABV cider in a 12 oz beer bottle.

Cider IPA
A dry‐hopped cider, full of citrus, pine and spice.

Whiskey Barrel Aged Cider
Apple cider aged in used Wigle Whiskey barrels for added complexity.

Farmhouse/Saison Cider
A moderately tart and earthy cider made with our in-house yeast strain.

Sour Cider
A combination of native and non‐saccharomyces yeast join in this cider’s fermentation, delivering a bit of sour style funk.

French Style Cider--Dry
A bone‐dry cider in the manner of a Brut Champagne, fermented in wine like manner and carbonated nearly as much as champagne.

French Style Cider--Semi-Sweet
A semi-sweet cider, fermented in a wine like manner and carbonated nearly as much as champagne. A full fruit flavor and nose.

French Style Cider--Sweet
A cider with the sweetness of a Prosecco, fermented in the French way, fermented in a wine like manner and carbonated nearly as much as champagne. A full fruit flavor and nose.

Rose Cider
Cider fermented with crab apples and red‐fleshed apples for a pink hue and a slightly sweet, slightly tart flavor dimension.

Spanish Cider
Cider made in the Spanish style. This cider is fermented with apple peels, granting a tannic backbone and delivering lots of funky character.

Crisp Sparkling Apple Cider
This effervescent and crisp apple cider with a slight but distinct crisp apple flavor. Carbonated like a beer with a slightly dry finish.

PA Berry Cider
A cider fermented from a mixture of Pennsylvania berries and apples. This cider is packed with fresh berry flavor.

Paw Paw Cider
A cider fermented from a mixture of apples and Paw Paws, America’s largest indigenous fruit. Paw Paws contribute mango, banana and citrus to the cider.

Pommeau
Apple liqueur made by blending unfermented apple juice with apple brandy and aging the blend in oak barrels.

Ice Cider
Sweet cider, frozen and naturally concentrated to yield a double-digit ABV cider with significant residual sugar along the lines of a dessert wine.

Apple/Grape Cider Blend
Cider made from a blend of fermented Pennsylvania apples and grapes.

Fall Spiced Cider
A fall warmer, this cider gets a slight ABV boost from local fall honey and is gently spiced with cinnamon, allspice, cardamom, ginger and cayenne, among others.

Lemon Basil Cider
Apple cider is infused with freshly squeezed lemon juice, basil, juniper berries and Wildflower honey. This is a semi-dry, citrusy cider.

Cherry Cider
Tart cherries from the Hudson Valley are balanced with crisp, heirloom apples to create this semi-sweet quintessential American drink.

Ginger Cider
Cider that combines the crisp and tart flavor of an apple cider with the peppery zing of ginger.

Strawberry Rhubarb Cider
Cider that combines sweeter apples with tart Rhubarb and strawberries.
