Thank you for engaging with our Community Data Watch publication on Rural Halton.
Your interest in understanding the data, trends, and lived realities of our rural communities means a great deal to us.
At Community Development Halton, we know that numbers tell only part of the story. Behind every statistic are people whose experiences, commitments, and passions bring our communities to life. We would like to learn more about your stories—stories about living, working, volunteering, and building community in rural Halton.
What if, alongside the data, we also shared the personal connections and motivations that shape our work and daily lives?
Imagine if Halton’s rural residents, businesses and community associations all felt seen and valued for their service, their creativity, and their impact on community well-being.
Is it possible that, by sharing our stories about the skills, values, and passion we bring to our work, we might:
- Deepen our understanding of the personal connections we have to the places and people of rural Halton?
- Clarify what we need from our communities and one another to make our rural community can remain vibrant?
- Find new pathways for collaboration across organizations, sectors, and municipalities?
By taking time to share our stories, CDH believes that we can:
Develop a deeper understanding of Halton's rural communities
Sharpen calls for action to support our rural communities to thrive and
Through these stories share the living narrative of rural Halton, a story of connection, contribution, and community to be celebrated.
We’d love to share your story!
Next Steps:
Complete our short story survey – there are no wrong answer!
We will draft your story, based on your response, then send it back for your review. We would never post a story without your permission. The stories can have your name on it or be anonymous. Your choice!
Note: If needed, we may reach out with a call to clarify some details.
Provide a photo of yourself and/or a photo that represents your story that you might like to share.
Once finalized, your story will be featured on our website and through our social media channels and connected to our CDW on the Rural Community as part of the next steps in community learning about this important part of Halton and the people who live and work there.
If a written survey isn’t your style, we’d be happy to connect with you for an interview instead.
