Community Input-Rockport Pool

The Rockport Pool Complex, built in 1981, includes a lap pool, diving well, wading pool, and bathhouse. The facility has reached a point where updates are needed to ensure it can continue to serve the community effectively.

Current recommendations include keeping the main lap pool and diving well, with necessary mechanical upgrades. The bathhouse is recommended for improvements to meet code requirements and improve operations. Because of its poor condition, the wading pool is recommended for removal and replacement with another feature.

The City of Janesville has included $3.8 million for Rockport Pool improvements in the 2027 and 2028 Capital Improvement Plan, pending City Council approval. We are seeking community input to help determine how best to use the available funding after essential repairs are completed, ensuring investments reflect the amenities most important to the community.
