Select the type of screening survey you are performing.

Spot Check-- check a bridge crossing on upstream and downstream sides of bridge and both sides of the stream if possible to check a streamside access for fishing or boat launch- limited streambank and bed area.

Stream Segment Walk-- If possible, walk along the streambank or bed for approximately (50 feet) upstream and downstream of your access spot (such as above and below a bridge crossing); "zip-zag", or walk both sides.

Littoral Zone by Boat-- If you are paddling the survey site checking the littoral zone of the river adjacent to a boat launch, survey 300 feet above and below the launch, and as much of the littoral zone as possible ("zig-zag")

Stream Segment by Boat-- If you are boating a river segment, surveying more than just a boat ramp segment, please note the length of the segment, describe start and end points and whether both sides of the river were surveyed.
