Recognize your sport's rising young athletes for the 2023/2024 season!

Nominations for young athletes are now open!

Through this program, athletes aged 12 years or younger who participate in a Red Deer sport organization are recognized for their commitment, passion, effort, or overcoming adversity to successfully participate and develop skills, regardless of result.
Every local sport organization (LSO) is encouraged to submit up to ten (10) names of athletes 12 years or younger who have had a wonderful start as they begin achieving success in sport and ideally their journey of being active for life.
Deadline for submissions is Monday, April 29, 2024 at 4:30 pm.

Athletes must be supported by their Local Sport Organization who will advise recipients of their Rising Sport Star award recognition.

This year, the awards will be presented during The Sunterra Sun Run on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Bower Kin Community Centre.

We will reach out to all Nominators prior to the event with details for the presentations.
