Rise Up 4 CS
Rise Up 4 CS is a project to help underrepresented (Female, African American, and/or Hispanic) students succeed in their Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science courses (CSA or CSP). It features both remote and in-person help sessions run by undergraduate students from Georgia Tech. The remote help session are at least once a week via the internet and the in-person sessions are held at Georgia Tech about once per month. The project uses an innovative interactive ebook created by Barbara Ericson at Georgia Tech.
It usually starts in September and runs until the exams in May. It is a free program that has been funded by generous support from the National Science Foundation, Google, and Oracle.
