Revisions to the Future Education Model Accreditation Standards |
General Information
The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) has made some revisions to the Future Education Model Accreditation Standards for Associate, Bachelor's and Graduate Degree Programs in Nutrition and Dietetics and is releasing the revised Standards for public comment. Comments are due by January 7, 2019.
Revisions include:
- Removal of "future education model" from the title of the standards
- Removal of requirements for "tracks"
- Addition of verification statements for associate degree graduates
- Revision in wording for required program objectives
- Clarification of expectations for curriculum map and competency assessment plan
