Contact and Background Information

The Office of Justice Programs utilizes volunteer reviewers as part of some grant proposal review processes. Volunteers typically find this to be a valuable and interesting exercise. Review teams may include county attorneys, social service workers, juvenile justice service providers, public health specialists, law enforcement representatives, evaluators, state agency representatives, civic, business, and faith community members, and other community members.  Review teams consist of 4-8 reviewers with each team reviewing the same packet of 8-10 proposals to read and score.

Reviewers will receive the review packet approximately the week of August 26 and will have about two weeks to review the proposals. Reviewers will then meet for a three hour review meeting tentatively scheduled during the week of September 16 or September 23 . Exact dates, times and locations will be determined after the RFP has closed.

If you are interested and available to be a proposal reviewer, please complete the application below.
