Share Your Views on Restaurant Inspection Reporting!

NEHA is partnering with Dining Safety Alliance to understand where and why there is variation in restaurant inspection scores across jurisdictions. We are in the foundational phase of this project and are looking for your expertise!

  • Phase One: To develop relationships with interested jurisdictions to gain access to a compilation of food establishment inspection scores.
  • Phase Two: To standardize the data so that it matches the 2017 FDA Food Code and analyze health department health code inspections that have been performed at restaurants across jurisdictions.
  • Goal: To develop a comprehensive database of inspection reports from across the nation that have violations mapped to allow for comparison.
This will allow for future analyses to include; looking at effects of different programmatic initiatives and developing internal program performance metrics. Information will be shared within your Environmental Health program for implementation.  *All reports developed exclusively for the purposes outlined in the project description will be anonymous and confidential to the respective health department.*
