What we do with your personal information

We use personal information because we need to do so in order to carry out our statutory function, or because we are under a legal obligation to do so.  We will use your information to meet our legal obligations in providing information, including statistical information, to the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) and the Scottish Government (SG). We will also use your information to help improve the services we provide.

The information you have given us on this survey will be processed using a computerised system.

Your information will be kept in strict confidence and will not be disclosed to unauthorised third parties without your consent except where we may need to pass your information to other people and organisations that provide a statutory service or where we are required by law to do so. 

We will only keep the information for 12 months after the information has been reported on and will be securely destroyed once we no longer need it.

You should be aware that you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, require us to correct any errors in your information and ask us to delete what personal information we hold about you. If you wish to do this, or, if you have any questions or concerns about how your personal information is being handled by the Council you should contact the Council’s Data Protection Officer whose details are:
