The Town of Renfrew is reviewing its existing Community Improvement Plan (CIP), which was adopted by Council on December 8, 2015. The Town’s existing CIP promotes economic development and revitalization through a series of Financial Incentive Programs available for private property owners throughout the Community Improvement Project Area, which encompasses the entire municipality. The Community Improvement Project Area includes five (5) distinct Districts with specific Financial Incentive Programs available for eligible properties within each District.
The CIP Review project is an opportunity to review the existing CIP and Community Improvement Project Area, and refine the suite of Financial Incentive Programs available to eligible property and business owners /operators to align with current economic development and community improvement needs and priorities. CIP updates will identify opportunities to support downtown revitalization, business attraction, housing, rehabilitation of designated heritage buildings and properties, accessibility, among other priorities, to support continued economic growth and vibrancy in Renfrew. The Town is seeking your feedback and ideas, to ensure that the updated CIP and Financial Incentive Programs reflect community improvement needs and priorities.
The Town has retained WSP, a consulting firm, to assist with this project. A Draft Community Improvement Plan Background and Recommendations Report (July 2026) will be available for review on the Town’s project website, and may assist you in completing this survey:
