Renew Australia created this survey to collect feedback from Chapel Street local businesses and representatives. Your local insights, experience and opinions will help to gauge interest in longer-term activation strategies to reduce commercial property vacancies and improve main street vibrancy.

Renew Australia is a national social enterprise designed to catalyse community renewal, economic development, the arts, and creative industries across Australia.

How Renew activation projects work
  • Renew works with property owners and agents to breathe life into empty spaces by making them rent free to creative enterprises
  • Renew and the property owner carefully select enterprises that suit the premises and surrounding businesses
  • Any creative enterprise will not directly compete with existing tenants in the area
  • The tenant has a 30-day license and the property owner can keep the property for lease and show interested parties
  • The tenant or the property owner can give 30 days’ notice at any time to vacate.
