2.Opportunities to Nominate and Participate

Council is establish a NEW Strategic Arts & Cultural Committee and a range of cultural networks to operate as sub-committees. The sub-committees to the NEW Strategic Arts & Cultural Committee and dates of their inaugural forums are:
  • East Ward Lifestyle Network Forum: 10 March 5:30-8:00pm
  • Central Ward Lifestyle Network. Forum: 16 March, 5:30-8:00pm
  • West Ward Lifestyle Network Forum: 17 March, 5:30-8:00pm
  • Performing Arts Network. Forum: 24 March 5:30-8:00pm
  • Visual Arts Network. Forum: 28 March 5:30-8:00pm
  • Events Network Forum: 30 March 5:30-8:00pm
  • Cultural Economy Network. Forum: 31 March 5:30-8:00pm

This is the form to:
  • RSVP your attendance at the inaugural forums; and/or
  • Nominate to join sub-committees.
The NEW Strategic Arts & Cultural Committee will consist of delegates from Council, a range of existing Council committees and new sub-committees (also refered to as Cultural Networks). All sub-committees will be convened and established in the coming weeks and will choose their delegates to the Strategic Arts & Cultural Committee. The first Committee Meeting will follow soon after. The Strategic Arts & Cultural Committee will meet four times a year, with the sub-committees meeting at 2-4 times a year.

You can nominate for more that one network, EG: an event organiser may choose to participate in both the Events Network to meet with others dealing with similar challenges, and in their Ward-based Lifestyle Network to build partnerships in their local community.
