I-VAC Regional Provider Advisor Application
ICAAP is seeking providers with experience implementing COVID-19 vaccines to support Illinois Vaccinates Against COVID-19 (I-VAC). Advisors will be responsible for providing coaching on best practices and technical assistance around COVID-19 vaccine administration. RESPONSIBILITES:
Complete advisor training (approximately 1 hour), including discussion of the role of improvement science to help drive practice change
Perform outreach and recruitment - Help ICAAP identify providers/provider organizations and points of contact to engage in the project - Send communication to identified providers/provider organizations and follow-up if necessary - Assist with disseminating culturally and linguistically appropriate informational materials
Provide implementation support to providers/provider organizations working to integrate COVID-19 vaccinations into their clinical workflows - Respond to questions or concerns raised by providers - Participate in webinars at least once per month - Be available to providers/provider organizations for “office hours”
Complete necessary contract paperwork in a timely manner
Make recommendations to ICAAP on community outreach/messaging needed in the region
REQUIREMENTS:
Commit to 1-3 hours per week to this role.
Experience in advocating for use of immunizations to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases and death
Knowledgeable about the demographics and health disparities within the local county/communities
Knowledgeable about the process local health departments are using to enlist COVID-19 vaccinators
Knowledgeable about I-CARE
Ability to connect providers within assigned regions to support each other to maximize opportunities to vaccinate
This project is scheduled through June 2023, with the possibility for an extension. Advisors will be compensated for their participation via stipends of $7,000. This amount is subject to change and based upon the project budget and number of advisors recruited.
