Draft 2028-2037 TIP: Regional Impact Local Input Point Assignment

The Regional Impact funding category includes a limited set of roadway and rail projects. These include projects that competed at the Statewide Mobility tier but were not selected for funding, as well as eligible projects on certain US and NC routes that are not designated for the Statewide Mobility category. The Regional Impact projects under consideration are also limited by NCDOT’s Prioritization 8.0 process. The MPO may submit up to 16 new projects per mode, in addition to eligible carryover projects from prior prioritization rounds. As a result, the needs that can be addressed through GUAMPO’s P8 Regional Impact local input point assignments are limited to projects on the current project list, adopted by the MPO in September 2025.
