Georgia Women's Policy Institute - Spelman Cohort - Recommender's Form

Recommender's Form

Thank you for taking the time to complete YWCA of Greater Atlanta's Recommender's Form for our Spelman Cohort of Georgia Women's Policy Institute.

Georgia Women's Policy Institute is YWCA of Greater Atlanta's signature leadership, advocacy, and civic engagement training program where people from diverse backgrounds learn how to develop and support state-level policy proposals.

Our Mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We live out this mission through the GWPI by developing and supporting state-level proposals that make Georgia safer and more equitable for women and girls.

Our Philosophy:
Equity- Equal participation in the policy process
Participation- Broad participation in making policy, beyond just voting
Social Justice- Creating a society that treats everyone fairly.

Our 2024-2025 Spelman Cohort will be our 4th GWPI cohort in collaboration with Spelman College.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Advocacy Program Manager, Elle Knott at elle.knott@ywcaatlanta.org.
