Ready Macleay 2024

In 2024 the Ready Communities team conducted 13 public meetings with the Macleay community asking what the community would like to happen/change/enhance across five key themes agricultural communities, CBD activation, youth futures, and creative industries. This process identified over 70 initiatives, some of which are listed below. We invite the #SIITR24 community to indicate any of the initiatives they can support/have an interest in or would otherwise like to get involved with. Advocate for increased or improved public transport to increase access to housing

Provide a one-stop shop for housing support

Map the industry for supported living in the transition from home ownership and assisted living

Create a campaign to support downsizing and increase in over-50 gated communities

Establish a program to engage young people to rebuild burnt out houses
