Ramsey Communities Neighbourhood Plan (Ramsey Parish) - FOR BUSINESSES |
Introduction and Your Information
The Ramsey Parish Neighbourhood Plan is being developed to establish a vision for the parish and to help deliver the local community’s aspirations to 2036 and beyond.
The concept of Neighbourhood Plans was introduced in 2011 with the enactment of the Localism Act. This enables local communities through their Parish Councils to have a say and become involved with planning decisions which affect them. Huntingdonshire Council gave approval in February 2024 for Ramsey Parish to be designated as a Neighbourhood Plan Area, allowing the Parish Council to produce a Neighbourhood Plan. A Neighbourhood Plan is designed to give the local community a voice in deciding the look and feel of the development of their area, being sensitive to the local setting. It cannot stop development but it does enable the parish to influence and develop a shared vision including planning policies for the development of land within the parish.
Our Neighbourhood Plan covers the town of Ramsey (called Ramsey in this questionnaire) and the villages of Ramsey Forty Foot, Ramsey Heights, Ramsey Mereside, Ramsey St Mary’s & the area of Ramsey Hollow (collectively called the Ramsey Villages in this questionnaire).
The questions in this survey are grouped into a number of sections. At the bottom of each section, press the "NEXT" button to move to the next section.
We recommend that you aim to complete the survey in one go. Once you've started, please ensure you don't close the browser window or turn off your computer. Thank you.
