Background Information
Safe and protected bicycle lanes were a high priority indicated by citizens during the public input sessions for the latest Street Master Plan and the Connect Bentonville (Bicycle and Pedestrian) Plan. In 2021, these plans were adopted by the Bentonville Planning Commission and City Council.

The two protected bike lane “quick build” projects began on March 7th, 2022 and installation was completed on July 2022. These are the first on-street protected bike lanes in the City of Bentonville.
