The developmental disabilities world is undergoing significant change moving from a cost-justification, fee for service environment toward a fixed fee, managed care model.  Along with mandated reimbursement reform, many agencies are also experiencing internal organizational changes including leadership retirements, budget constraints, increasing competition for people whom to serve, staff turnover, greater demands on technology, mergers, pressure for specialization and new service delivery models in which to practice.

The following statements are designed to help identify areas in which your agency may be vulnerable as it transitions into a managed care environment.  Please provide your candid responses by rating each statement as appropriate.  Upon completing your assessment, you may contact the Dopkins MC2 (Managed Care, Managed Cost) team at the emails or phone number listed below and a representative will then review your assessment and contact you to discuss the results, the implications for your agency,  and to answer any questions that you may have. As an alternative and at your convenience, we would encourage and recommend scheduling an on-site visit by us to your office to discuss with you and your team in person to receive the highest benefit of your assessment results. There is of course no fee for this consultation and your responses will not be used for any other purpose other than for your self-assessment.
