1. Subject to approval by the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, the name of the Society is changed from FaithLife Financial to SERENIA LIFE FINANCIAL on a date established by the Board of Directors of the Society.
2. That the directors and officers of the Society are authorized and directed to do, sign and execute all things, deeds and documents necessary or desirable for the due carrying out of the foregoing.”
The online voting process, which begins when you select the next button below, will ask you to authorize a proxy* from Serenia Life management to vote on your behalf at the upcoming Special Member Meeting, being held at 1:00 p.m. on November 19, 2025 at the head office of Serenia Life Financial, by casting your vote “For” or “Against” the passing of the above special resolution to enact Bylaw Number 4 to complete the name change of FaithLife Financial to Serenia Life Financial.
In addition, we have 3 Board Directors coming to the end of their term and retiring later this year. We are nominating 3 new candidates to join the Board of Directors in 2026, and we need your support to confirm all three candidates. The Director Election is a consent-based process that will ask you to cast a vote “For” or “Against” each of these 3 new Directors.
Before proceeding to vote, please make sure that you are a voting member of Serenia Life Financial. If you aren’t sure please Call Member Services at 1.800.563.6237 ext. 444 or email member.benefits@serenialife.ca.
*A proxy is a representative who acts on someone’s behalf for decision-making issues such as voting. If you're unable to attend the Special Meeting on November 19th, 2025, to approve our legal Name Change, you may still vote through a proxy.
Here’s what you need to do:
1. You will need your Serenia Life Financial POLICY NUMBER (located on your Serenia Life Financial Policy/Statement), before beginning the voting process. If you are unable to locate your policy number, please contact Member Services at 1.800.563.6237 ext. 444.
2. On the next page you will be asked to provide some personal information, so we can match it with our files.
3. Vote “For” or “Against” to change our legal name to Serenia Life Financial.
4. Vote “For” or “Against” all 3 candidates, to determine if each can join the Board of Directors in 2026.
