SEMCOG is excited to launch a new opportunity to partner in advancing our mission. We are dedicated to supporting local governments in enhancing and maintaining Southeast Michigan's transportation systems, environmental quality, economic growth, and infrastructure, while advocating for effective policy and funding on behalf of our members.

SEMCOG’s General Assembly Meetings for 2026 are in March, June, and October. Our meetings will be hosted at The Icon in Detroit, Emerald Theatre in Mt. Clemens, and Wayne County Community College. SEMCOG General Assembly's will spotlight economic development and foster meaningful discussion on regional cooperation and innovative solutions.

Our meetings will be the premier forum for connecting with leaders from across the full seven-county region of Southeast Michigan. Approximately 250 local elected officials, planners and economic development professionals will come together to explore the latest development trends, exchange best practices, and share insights on successful economic development and placemaking initiatives.
