The participants are generally at an intermediate plus level with over half indicating an advanced level. Participants are looking for depth of content, challenging concepts and clear takeaways to take back to their community. They are also looking for opportunities, working alongside their peers, to create solutions to their most vexing problems. Consequently, Conference Presenters need to understand their role to be facilitators of learning as well as subject matter experts.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

A. I understand that I am responsible for paying all travel-related conference expenses. I am responsible for registration fees if I attend on any other day than the one on which I will be a presenter. Presenters may attend other sessions on the day of their own presentation at no charge. I will inform my co-presenters of this policy.

B. I understand all "Call for Proposals" sessions must have handouts available for posting in a secured place on the LeadingAge California conference app and hereby authorize LeadingAge California to post them.

C. I understand that copyrighted material (e.g. cartoons, proprietary information) in my handout materials is prohibited unless I have written permission from the owner and include such permission in my presentation. Note all quoted sources of information.

D. I will inform LeadingAge California within 60 days prior to the presentation if, for any reason, the session will not be presented and will find a suitable replacement.

E. I understand that LeadingAge California may take photographs of my session for publicity and promotional purposes. I agree to have my image used to promote or represent LeadingAge California sponsored events, in publications and on the LeadingAge California website.

F. I understand that my session may be recorded (video/audio) by LeadingAge California for educational purposes. I give my permission for my session to be recorded in whatever way LeadingAge California so chooses.

G. I understand promoting a company, service or product during the session is prohibited. It both detracts from a positive learning experience for the attendees and risks putting you and your company in a less than positive light.

H. I understand that I will introduce myself and my session, plus make any announcements asked of me by LeadingAge California staff. LeadingAge California staff will scan for CEUs at the conclusion of each session.
