A significant increase in Residential Aged Care (RAC) facilities is expected to meet the demands of the Australian ageing population. Despite high experience of mental illness (85%) in residents in Australian RAC, there is no standardised method to evaluate mental health care practices in RAC industry. MHICare project aims to address this significant unmet need and will develop a digital tool to automatically populate performance of mental health care practices at a facility and RAC industry level.
