Organic Regulation Sector Survey

Minister Thompson and MPP MacDonnell are interested in hearing your thoughts on the proposed Bill 54, The Organic Products Act, in order to assess the interest in passing the bill this fall.

The Organic Council of Ontario has proposed three options for implementation:
1) Adopting the Canadian Organic Standards in Ontario;
2) Adopting the Canadian Organic Standards in Ontario with a small-scale exemption (under $10,000);
3) Adopting the Canadian Organic Standards in Ontario with a small-scale self-declaration registry (under $30,000).
