Asthma and the Mind

Children and Young People

We know that living with asthma can have an impact on the lives of children and young people. Beat Asthma have teamed up with Clinical Psychologists in the NHS to create a series of resources for children, young people, and their families to support their emotional and mental health.

We want to make sure that the voices of young people, and their families, are heard loud and clear.

We would love to hear your thoughts and ideas about the kinds of resources that you want us to create.

What will we do with your responses?

Your responses will be used to inform the types of resources we create.

We will not ask you for any identifiable information.

All responses will be confidential and anonymous.
1.How old are you?
2.How do you think asthma affects young people’s wellbeing? What have you noticed? (For example, some young people tell us that asthma can make them feel down or worried and that sometimes they worry about joining in with activities such as P.E.)
3.If you wanted to do some research about asthma and mental health, what kind of areas would interest you the most? (Would it be how to manage worries about your asthma, talking to friends about asthma, how to manage asthma in school or something else?).
4.What resources do you want us to create about your mental health and well-being?
5.What type of platform do you prefer?
6.If you could ask a psychologist one question about asthma and mental health, what would you ask them?
