Robson Valley Recreation Centre was built in the 1980s to meet the needs of the McBride and area community at that time. In 2025, the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George adjusted Robson Valley Recreation Centre's summer operating hours (May 1 to August 31).

The current summer operating hours at Robson Valley Recreation Centre:
May 1 to August 31
- 6 am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday
- 6 pm to 10 pm, Monday to Thursday
