Expression of interest: Host Learn Locals for Vic ACE Scholarships Program |
The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions is offering scholarships to people pursuing a rewarding career as an adult literacy and numeracy educator in the Learn Local sector in Victoria.
The Victorian ACE scholarships are for prospective, new and existing Learn Local teachers/staff to undertake qualifications in teaching adult language, literacy and numeracy.
Scholarship obligation requirements
Selected ACE scholarships include an obligation where the recipient is required to undertake 200 hours of pre-accredited teaching activities at a Learn Local.
Scholarship recipients have up to two (2) years to complete the teaching activities at a Learn Local provider.
Scholarship obligation requirements may be voluntary or paid. All arrangements are strictly between the scholarship recipient and Learn Local provider.
The scholarship recipient is solely responsible for achieving their scholarship obligation milestones.

To support scholarship recipient to make the right connections to achieve their scholarship obligation requirements, Learn Local providers can express interest in becoming a host Learn Local.
Scholarship recipients will then be given the contact details of a suitable host Learn Local, so they can make the necessary arrangements directly.
Host Learn Locals will need to meet the requirements outlined in Appendix A of the Victorian ACE Scholarship Program Guidelines.
Participating Learn Locals are eligible for a host incentive payment of $1,500.00 per scholarship recipient.
