About the Award Program

The Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) of the Year Award Program is designed to recognise and honour outstanding achievement and contribution of CDEs in the provision of high-quality diabetes education and expert support for people living with diabetes.
 
A Credentialled Diabetes Educator can be a Nurse, Dietitian, Pharmacist, Podiatrist, Exercise Physiologist, Physiotherapist, Optometrist, Midwife or a Medical Practitioner or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Professional. Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDE’s), the unsung heroes dedicated to empowering individuals living with diabetes, on their journey to better health. Passionate and knowledgeable, CDE’s are at the forefront of diabetes education and care, providing personalised guidance, education and support to those navigating the complexities of managing diabetes.

It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete this nomination. You will be asked to provide responses to the following areas:
  • Demonstrated excellence in diabetes education 
  • Leadership and an inspirational role model for diabetes educators 
 
The information you provide will help us to select the winners and will only be accessible for Members of the Judging Panel and relevant ADEA staff.

Your responses will be held in strict confidence and will not be used for commercial purposes.
