Let's make the #KidLitChat retreat happen! I am determined to make 2025 the year that I get to meet y'all in person and share my famous #KidLitConfections treats in real life.

What is an ideal length for a #KidLitChat retreat? (select all that apply)
Just a weekend. I want to connect in person, but it's hard for me to get away for extended periods of time.
3-5 days. I need time to settle in before I can really get creative
6-8 days. I really need a week to make significant progress on my WiP!

What about food for the retreat?
I would prefer to have all meals and snacks included in the price. I don't want to have to worry about anything but being creative during the retreat!
I would prefer to have three meals provided each day. I don't mind bringing my own favorite snacks.
I would prefer to have one or two meals provided each day. I don't mind bringing my own favorite snacks and being on my own for breakfast and/or lunch.
I would prefer to rotate cooking duties among retreat participants, with each participant responsible for preparing one meal, and providing the recipes they plan to prepare in advance of the retreat so we can have one big grocery shop prior to the retreat for all needed ingredients.

How far do you want to "retreat?" (select all that apply)
Give me civilization!! I want to retreat from my normal, everyday life, but I don't want to be cut off from everything. I would prefer an urban retreat, with plenty to do at night after I'm done writing for the day.
People-adjacent: I want a retreat that is a bit off the beaten path, but I want to be able to easily find the path if I'm in the mood. Give me something with a small-town vibe, where I can find a few local shops if I desperately need a new notebook or if I run out of my favorite chocolate.
Not quite off the grid: I'd like to retreat from all of the daily bustle that makes me think of my long to-do list, but I definitely can't totally disconnect. Give me something with lots of lush, picturesque scenery and plenty of space to myself... but make sure the wifi signal is strong so when I need to reconnect, it's there at my fingertips!
Get me outta here!! I want to go completely off the grid during this retreat. Give me an excuse to shut off my phone, ignore my socials (except for #KidLitChat on Tuesday night!), and revel in time to be fully in creative mode.

Do you want/need your own dedicated space, or are you willing to share a room, if it means a lower price?
I need my space!! It's not a retreat if I have to worry about waking a roommate if I get hit with inspiration in the middle of the night. If I want to be around other people, I'll join you in the common areas.
I'm flexible. I prefer to have my own space, but I am also budget-conscious, so as long as there are spots where I can go when I need quiet creating time, I'm happy to share a room to reduce my costs for the retreat.
I love slumber parties!! Give me a roommate, and we'll probably be besties for life by the time the retreat is over.

March or April 2025 - I need a retreat ASAP!!
May or June 2025 - I need time to budget and prepare, but I'm anxious to do this!
Fall 2025 - Let's take some time and plan the best retreat ever!
2026 - I can't do it this coming year, but I will start budgeting now to make this happen next year!
