Our contract with Rutgers University expires on September 30, 2014. We are making preparations now to negotiate the best possible contract for our future. This survey is your opportunity to have your opinion heard during this process. Your input will be shared with our Negotiating Committee and will help guide your colleagues bargaining with the University.

This will be our first negotiations with the University since the dissolution of UMDNJ. Due to the protections we fought for in the NJ Medical and Health Sciences Education Restructuring Act, Rutgers is obligated to negotiate a new contract with us when our current contract expires. It is important that we show them that our union remains united and strong.

Complete the survey and return it to a union representative. Or, mail it to HPAE, 110 Kinderkamack Rd, Emerson NJ 07630. You may also complete the survey online at www.5089hpae.org. Surveys are due March 31, 2014.

Winning a strong contract doesn’t just happen at the bargaining table. It takes the effort and participation of all of us to show that we are united for a fair contract and are willing to stand up to protect our rights and benefits.
