INTRODUCTION
The Choice Neighborhood Initiative is an effort focused on transforming the Russell Neighborhood. To realize this transformation, an extensive partnership is forming that includes residents and key stakeholders who are working together to solve problems and find opportunities that will:
· Make Russell a neighborhood of opportunity and choice;
· Attract investments to Russell that improve the quality of life for all residents; and
· Revitalize Beecher Terrace as part of an overall plan for improving the neighborhood.
To help develop a Transformation Plan for Russell, we are actively seeking input from residents and stakeholders like you through community meetings and events, and other tools. A calendar of events will be available on the Louisville Metro Housing Authority (LMHA) and Louisville Metro websites, as well as a future website dedicated exclusively to the Russell Choice Neighborhood initiative. This survey contains questions about both your specific needs and the needs of your community. While we would like you to answer every question in the survey (as this will help us develop a more complete plan) you may choose not to answer any questions that make you uncomfortable or that do not apply to your household. Individual responses will not be shared.
The results of the survey will be available for viewing on the websites above by September 2015.
