Breaking Barriers Training Academy and MAGICAL Self-Advocates of Greater Orlando present The Route to Self-Determination Workshop. This is an in-person, introductory workshop for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, 16 and older, on learning to set goals to live, work, and spend free time as they choose. The workshop will be delivered by self-advocates - the FL SAND Fellows, on June 11, 2026, from 10am to 4pm at the Rosen Plaza, located at 9700 International Drive, Orlando, Florida.
Attendance is limited to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities age 16 and older (self-advocate learners). Each self-advocate learner may be accompanied by one support person, who will be registered as an observer. Lunch is provided for self-advocate learners and registered support persons. A single support person is welcome (and encouraged) to accompany more than one self-advocate learner.
