RTB Housing Grant Eligibility Application
|
Important Information
Scholar must be enrolled in undergraduate programs or technical/certificate programs. Scholars enrolled in graduate programs or who have already received a Bachelor's Degree are not eligible.
This application will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Please be prepared to share documentation about your status as a single-parent, your most recent transcript, your financial need, and the total cost for which you are requesting a grant. In most cases, if your debt is greater than $1,000, you will be ineligible for the grant unless you can show documentation on how you will pay the difference.
RTB reviews academic progress as part of eligibility. If you have more than one withdrawal, failed class, or incomplete in the last two semesters, you may not be eligible. You will be asked to explain what happened and how this support will help you stay enrolled and improve your grades.
Your academic progress will be reviewed as part of the complete application. RTB reviews academic persistence patterns, the nature of the housing emergency, and whether the requested support appears likely to help stabilize a student’s path toward program completion.
Please note: Scholars participating in a Raise The Barr cohort or living at the Huddle on 5th are NOT eligible for this grant. Applicants must live, work or go to school in Sacramento or Yolo county.
