RTA Survey: Detroit-Ann Arbor Commuters

Hi, we are conducting a survey on issues facing your area.

1.Prior to the COVID-19 lockdowns, how often did you travel between Ann Arbor and Detroit?
2.Today, post COVID-19 lockdowns, how often do you travel between Ann Arbor and Detroit?
3.Do you travel between the two cities for:
4.Instead of driving, would you take a reasonably priced round trip, hourly coach type bus service (e.g., Indian Trails), with stringent COVID-19 safety protocols, from downtown Detroit to downtown Ann Arbor?*
5.The price of the coach travel would be $6 one-way with advance reservation and $8 if you walk up without a reservation. If you buy a book of 10 tickets for $50 the price roundtrip would be $10. Knowing the prices, would you take a coach type bus?*
6.How often would you use the coach service between Ann Arbor and Detroit.
7.If this was a year ago, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this service was available at $10 roundtrip and $6 one-way, would you have definitely taken a coach type bus instead of driving, probably take it, probably not take it, or definitely not take it?
8.Which of the following would be the top reason you would not take the coach?
9.How has COVID-19 changed the way that you travel this corridor?
10.What type of safety protocols would have to be in place for you to take this bus?
11.The buses would use the following safety protocols regarding COVID-19 to ensure the safety of all passengers. “A high grade EPA registered disinfectant would be used to wipe down passenger doors, hand rails, window ledges, overhead luggage bins, armrests, seat belt buckles, all hard surfaces in the rest room areas, the driver’s steering wheel and surrounding hard surfaces.  Hand sanitizers in the restrooms, and spray Lysol disinfectant used throughout each bus.  All riders and drivers must wear masks or they will not be allowed to travel on the bus.”

Knowing this, would you take a coach type bus instead of driving?*
