FORT SMITH TRANSIT • RIDERSHIP SATISFACTION SURVEY

The Frontier MPO will be boarding Fort Smith Transit (FST) buses throughout the months of October and November 2014 to conduct their annual customer satisfaction survey. In an effort to enhance transit service, the FST Department in cooperation with the Frontier MPO and the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department are working together to seek additional information from the public regarding the proposed omission of the night transportation service and proposed addition of a new Zero Street Fixed Route servicing Zero Street and areas to the south. Recent studies indicated that of the 186 transit riders that took the On-Board Rider Survey in October 2013, nearly 84 percent, or 143 residents would consider using a seasonal fixed route to the Ben Geren aquatics park. The new Zero Street Fixed Route being considered includes service to the Ben Geren Regional Park.
