Welcome!

The Walsh Pandemic Stories Project is a joint initiative of the Institute for Community Health, the Food Design Institute, the Renacci Center for Civic Engagement, and the Walsh University Archives. The purpose is to collect stories of our Walsh University students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their extended networks in order to create an oral history archive of our shared experience through the novel coronavirus pandemic of 2020. There are a number of ways to participate. You can fill out this survey one time, or several times (diary style), as the pandemic moves through our society. You can submit written responses here, or you can share audio or video stories via Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive with Dr. Rachel Constance (rconstance@walsh.edu), or a shareable link can be added to the appropriate box in the survey. The survey below asks for personal information for organizational purposes, as well as to help future historians, however, you can choose to remain anonymous or leave information blank. We ask that you use pseudonyms (for example: Jack* is one way you might demonstrate you are using a pseudonym), or remove names of other people from your stories, in order to protect their privacy. There are several questions available for you to answer, depending on your circumstances. You can answer all of them, or just one--there is no requirement.
