* 1. We would greatly appreciate your filling out this brief survey. It will help us understand how we can best serve your conservation organization to benefit Alabama’s wildlife resources.
Every ten years, all US states and territories are required to publish a State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) in order to be eligible for important federal funding for conservation of non-game species. Alabama published its first SWAP in 2005 called the Alabama State Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategy (CWCS). It is a strategic document that provides guidance, coordination, and the best scientific information about how you can take action to conserve Alabama’s important natural treasures. There is no regulatory component to AL SWAP. All participation is voluntary. Using the SWAP can improve eligibility for participation in conservation programs and funding.
