Questionnaire aim

To be used by operators as a tool to test public perception and acceptance of monitoring/control technologies in order to assess and adjust their work accordingly.

 Main research topics covered by the questionnaire:

1.            To investigate citizens’ perception in regards to the monitoring activities in general;

2.            To investigate the level of citizens’ acceptance in regards to the monitoring activities in general;

3.            To investigate the level of citizens’ acceptance in regards to few identified monitoring tools and systems for surveillance and maintenance of public assets (large-scale infrastructures).

Definitions:
                                                                                                                                       
·         “monitoring technology” -  Monitoring tools and systems for surveillance and maintenance of public assets (large-scale infrastructure, wide areas, public spaces, public facilities).

·         “large-scale infrastructure” -  infrastructure that are critical for the support of the citizens’ daily activities and their normal operation impacts directly the security and safety of civilians (example: water production and distribution system, gas pipelines, railway networks, oil pipelines, highways).

·         “wide areas” - extensions of infrastructure that is critical for the support of the citizens’ daily activities and their normal operation impacts directly the security and safety of civilians

·         “public facilities” - urban objects designated to fulfil supportive functions related to the health and well-being of the citizens of a modern society or urban area (example: schools and  hospitals)

·         “personal data” - any information concerning a natural person (citizen), identified or identifiable, even indirectly, by reference to any other information, including a personal identification number (Example: an image of a person and name and surname; telephone number; name and surname and address / location; licence plate number; etc.).
