We are using community feedback, technical data, and Seattle’s transportation plans to redesign Delridge Way SW to move more people by prioritizing transit and laying the groundwork for new King County Metro RapidRide service.

We gathered community feedback at the 10% design milestone, used that feedback to make changes, and now we’re sharing another update at the 30% design milestone.

In the Delridge corridor, we’re proposing new:

  • Bus lanes
  • Landscaped median islands
  • Crosswalk improvements
  • Protected bike lanes and neighborhood greenway connections
  • Traffic signal upgrades
  • Paving
  • Water and sewer pipe upgrades
  • Parking and bike lane removal
  • Public art

What we’ve heard

We’ve been working in the Delridge community since 2016 to better understand how people prefer to get around the neighborhood and what types of transportation changes would support their preferences. Hundreds of people gave feedback through online surveys, public events, and conversations with our project team over the past few years.

We heard requests for:
  • Faster and more frequent bus service that gets people around the neighborhood as well as to jobs and connections in downtown Seattle
  • Pothole filling and paving to fix poor, aged infrastructure
  • New and improved crossings and updated curb ramps for people walking and biking
  •  Better ways for people biking to travel throughout the corridor
We’re want to hear from the community again and are hoping to get some background information about you through the following questions. You aren’t required to answer any questions to move through this survey.
