The Queensland Government is committed to achieving gender equality in Queensland. One way we can do this is by making sure individuals, communities, businesses and all levels of government consider the diverse and specific needs based on a person’s gender. This is called gender analysis, or a ‘gender lens’.

The recently released Queensland Women’s Strategy 2016-21 Community Implementation Plan presents an initiative to create user-friendly online resources and a toolkit that all government and non-government organisations can access to support better gender analysis.

The Queensland Government provides the Gender Analysis Toolkit, to assist organisations to undertake gender analysis. This tool is currently under review so that we can find ideas on how to make it better. We want it to be easy to use and ensure that it has the information that is needed to support Queenslanders to use a gender lens when developing or reviewing projects, programs and policies.
