Perspectives on opportunities, challenges and capabilities shaping the next decade

Non-destructive testing (NDT) underpins the safety, reliability and longevity of critical infrastructure and assets across many sectors. However, there are many influences creating change in the NDT industry including emerging technologies, new materials, novel applications and workforce dynamics.

This study aims to understand how the UK NDT industry should evolve over the coming decade and what capabilities and actions are required to enable the transition.

This survey seeks perspectives from industry, researchers and stakeholders on how NDT may develop in the next five to ten years. We are interested in the current practice, the factors that influence how NDT is performed today and the opportunities, challenges and capabilities shaping the next decade.

Your experience and insights will help build a clearer picture of the UK NDT industry, inform future workshops and support a report on the landscape of non-destructive testing in the UK.
