Listen4Good Grant Scholarship Application 2026

About Listen4Good and This Opportunity

Listen4Good (L4G) is an 18-month program that helps nonprofits build high-quality systems and approaches for gathering, making sense of, and responding to feedback from the people they serve. While organizations may ask clients for their opinions about the services they receive, far fewer are able to gather feedback systematically, analyze the data, and use it consistently to drive real change. Organizations also benefit from hearing from and using feedback from staff, volunteers, partner organizations and community members.

Listen4Good provides surveying tools and resources and a personalized support system that helps organizations improve community experience. In partnering with nonprofits, L4G coaches and staff provide expertise in survey design, data analysis, and organizational change and bring a strong equity lens to their work.

WHAT DO NONPROFITS DO AS PART OF LISTEN4GOOD?
Participating organizations work with L4G’s coaching team and specially curated tools and resources to move through a proven five-step process for building high-quality feedback loops.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Tennessee Nonprofit Network is partnering with an anonymous donor to offer 3 scholarships to participate in Listen4Good's Premium July 2026, 18-month cohort.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a current TNN member organization
  • Mid-size organizations (Annual budgets > $250,000) to large organizations, in operation for at least 3 years
  • Must have a staff person that can commit 10-15 hours per month, for 18 months, to the Listen4Good program
  • Must provide information about Listen4Good grant to board of directors
IS YOUR ORGANIZATION ELIGIBLE FOR L4G PROGRAMS?
  • The Listen4Good question set is intended to capture feedback from individual clients or community members who participate in programs or interact with your organization as staff, volunteers, partner organizations or community members.
LISTEN4GOOD WORKS BEST WHEN ORGANIZATIONS:
  • Have the capacity to focus on feedback. Recommended staffing includes having one person serve as the Listen4Good project manager and having at least one additional senior champion engaged in the work.
  • Anticipate surveying an audience of at least 50 individuals at a time. With this number of clients, you are able to build sufficient survey samples and disaggregate results to identify patterns. If you serve fewer clients than this, you may benefit from other feedback methods.
  • Are able to integrate Listen4Good into some existing work — whether that be a specific effort to gather feedback on programs, part of your measurement strategy, or part of a broader effort to advance equity and inclusion.
