South Suburban Cook County Nonprofit Capacity-Building Cohort Application - due June 1 at 5pm

Introduction and Background

Nonprofits are at the heart of our communities—and when they have strong systems, engaged boards, and clear strategies, they’re better positioned to thrive.

Forefront invites you to join our South Suburban Cook County Nonprofit Capacity‑Building Cohort, a supportive six‑week learning experience designed to help your organization strengthen its foundation and expand its impact.

Through interactive workshops and practical, hands‑on tools, participants will build skills in board leadership, financial resilience, fundraising strategy, and program evaluation. By the end of the cohort, each organization will leave with a clear, actionable plan to guide its next phase of growth.

Participating organizations will also receive access to Forefront Memberships (a $250+ value), with the option to add Impact Capacity Assessments (a $300 value) for those seeking deeper support and strategy development centered on empowering staff.

If your organization is ready to strengthen its foundation and deepen its impact, this cohort is for you. A brief application is required—get started HERE. Applications close at 5pm on June 1.

We are grateful to IFF, a nonprofit lender and real estate consultant, for their partnership and sponsorship in making this program possible.
