Thank you for your interest in the Children’s Covid-19 Vaccine (CCV) survey being carried out by the Makerere University Lung Institute in collaboration with the Uganda Ministry of Health with funding from Science Technology and Innovation, Office of the President.
In October 2021, the Ministry of Health started vaccination of children 12-17 years with the COVID-19 vaccine. The benefits of the vaccines are realized when most of the population get immunized. Deciding to receive the vaccine or not depends on many factors. We are interested in understanding the reasons why parents or guardians may or may not be willing to take their children for vaccination. This information is important in supporting the efforts to vaccinate children against COVID-19.
If you agree to take part in this study, you will be asked to respond to a few questions to capture your thoughts on this subject. Completion of the survey will take 5-10 minutes. Participation in this survey is voluntary and your identity will not be requested. Your information will be treated in accordance with the Makerere University Data Protection Policy. This study has been reviewed and approved by the School of Medicine Research Ethics Committee (SOMREC) and Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST).
