What is Robocamp 4.0?

The Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center seeks participants age 10 - 17 who have had hemispherectomy surgery to participate in a physical, occupational, and recreational therapy camp using robotics-assisted interventions, functional electric stimulation, and recreational activities. Parents/guardians in attendance will have the option of attending an intensive individual education workshop during camp at no additional charge and will have a "hands on" interactive workshop where they will be trained on proper electrode placement when using transcutaneous electric stimulation devices to improve function and prevent spasticity and contracture associated with upper motor neuron syndrome. Housing and reasonable travel expenses will be provided (preference will be given to candidates within reasonable travel distance to Downey, California). This program is funded by Rancho Research Institute and The Brain Recovery Project: Childhood Epilepsy Surgery Foundation
