Overview
On Saturday, September 21st, the Dayton Regional STEM School will host its first annual student leadership conference. High school students from the Dayton Regional STEM School and other local districts will be invited to attend. We hope to grow this event in the coming years to become a regional conference for students all over the Dayton region. We invite educators, industry partners, community leaders, and upperclassmen students to facilitate activities, discussions, or presentations about leadership. Some examples of sessions are: strengths assessment, women in leadership panel, community service, networking 101, work/school-life balance, creating your digital brand, etc. Get creative! Isn’t that one of the traits of a true leader?!

Session Logistics
Sessions should be 40 minutes in length. Your session will be in a classroom environment with space for approximately 25 students in each presentation. Various presentation technology and resources will be available, but you must bring your own laptop. You may choose to present your session more than once, if the schedule allows. Presenters may check in and out at any time based on their presentation slot, but you are welcome to stay as long as you’d like. There is no cost for presenters to attend the conference.

Catering
A continental breakfast will be available for all morning presenters. Once the schedule is created, we will send out a link for anyone who’d like to order a complimentary lunch. We also invite you to stay for the closing session, where students will use the skills that they learned throughout the day in a networking hour, complete with afternoon treats!

Submit Your Proposal
