The Association of Governmental Risk Pools (AGRiP) is soliciting nominations for two positions on its Board of Directors. The term of office for both positions is four years, commencing Jan. 1, 2027.
Only Designated Representatives of regular member pools (or a sponsoring association, if applicable) are eligible to be nominated.
Nominations can be made by any representative of an AGRiP member pool. Self-nominations are welcome. To nominate a Designated Representative to the AGRiP Board of Directors, please complete and submit this form no later than 3 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026. Nominations received after this time will not be considered.
Board Responsibilities
The AGRiP Board establishes policy and oversees organizational performance on behalf of AGRiP membership. This is an active and accountable role for leaders in the pooling community. While the commitment can vary from year to year, the current expectations are as follows:

- One 2-day planning retreat per year in July
- Three 3-hour meetings per year (may include virtual meetings or in-person meetings in conjunction with AGRiP conference events)
- Periodic additional virtual meetings as needed
- Active participation in AGRiP conferences, including member linkage sessions and occasional session moderation, facilitation, etc.
- Service on a Board committee, with approximately three 1-hour conference calls per year
Board members are not compensated. Board members are reimbursed a maximum of $1,000 for travel expenses to attend the annual planning retreat (hotel and food onsite is paid directly by AGRiP). Board members also receive complimentary registrations for AGRiP conference events in lieu of travel reimbursement.
Election Process
Electronic voting will open on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, and close at 12 noon ET on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, and is open to Designated Representatives only. The two candidates who receive the highest number of votes will be elected. Nominees will be notified of results by Friday, Oct. 2.
Inclusion and Campaigning
AGRiP believes inclusion strengthens our core values of intelligence, education, networking, best practices and advocacy. We desire to engage voices reflecting diverse backgrounds, talents, experiences and perspectives to inform and strengthen all AGRiP decisions and actions. We encourage member pools to consider naming Designated Representatives who reflect diverse knowledge and historically underrepresented demographics, in order for those Designated Representatives to be eligible for election.
AGRiP discourages active campaigning. Candidates should limit any solicitation of votes to one-on-one interactions with individuals they already know.
